Self-employment proportions broken down by earnings

This workbook uses the Family Resources Survey (FRS) to produce estimates of proportion for the self-employed, in pay bands of £0 to £34,000, £35,000 to £69,000, £70,000 to £99,000 and £100,000 and over, for all sources of income and for only self-employment income.

This workbook uses two variables to calculate the proportion of the self-employed. Table 1 uses the income earned from all sources (income from investments, benefits, self-employment activities, pension and retirement and other income sources) to calculate pay bands. Table 2 uses adult gross earnings from self-employment activities to calculate pay bands.
