Numbers of jobs in London and the all other regions of the United Kingdom, by health and social care industry classification by various demographics sourced from the Annual Population Survey, 2010 to 2023.

Correction – 8 December 2025

Corrections have been made to the tables. The year 2020 in the time series data across all sheets contained slight inaccuracies because of the way the data were compiled.

Additionally, in the sheets JH_by_ind_by_major_SOC and JH_by_ind_by_skill, adjustments required for the transition into the new decade (starting in 2020) were not applied, which resulted in incorrect figures for 2021 and subsequent years.

We apologise for this correction.

Update

This data has been updated as the original publication used the incorrect variable to count 'second' jobs using INDD07M instead of INDD07S.
