This table provides 2011 Census estimates that classify all usual residents aged 16 and over living in a household by sex by age by living arrangements by occupation (Major Group) by NS-SEC for England and Wales on census day (27 March 2011).

Living arrangements - Living in a couple: Married or in a registered same-sex civil partnership includes; 01 Married (including separated) and 02 Registered same-sex civil partnership (including separated); Living in a couple: Cohabiting includes 03 Cohabiting; Not living in a couple: Single (never married or never registered a same-sex civil partnership) includes; 04 Single (never married or never registered a same-sex civil partnership), Not living in a couple: Married or in a registered same-sex civil partnership or separated includes; 05 Married, 06 Registered same-sex civil partnership and 07 Separated (but still legally married or still legally in a same-sex civil partnership), Not living in a couple: Divorced or formerly in a same-sex civil partnership which is now legally dissolved includes; 08 Divorced and 09 Formerly in a same-sex civil partnership which is now legally dissolved, Not living in a couple: Widowed or Surviving partner from a same-sex civil partnership includes; 10 Widowed, 11 Surviving partner from a same-sex civil partnership.
