Provides files to download data as it existed for this dataset on previous dates.

Statistics are most often revised for 1 of 2 reasons:

  1. For certain statistics initial estimates are released with the expectation that these may be revised and updated as further data becomes available.
  2. Revisions may also be made when methods or systems are changed.

These types of planned revisions should not be confused with errors in released statistics, which are genuine mistakes. Such mistakes occur rarely and, when they do happen, corrections are made in a timely manner, announced and clearly explained to users in line with the Code of Practice for Official Statistics (Principle 2, Practice 7).

Correction See correction
We have corrected an error in Table 2, which resulted from incorrect values in one of our data sources. This error has fed through to Table 4, Table 6 and TDGVA because of the inter-dependency between the tables. There are also small changes to other tables as a result of incorrect data feeding through. We apologise for any inconvenience.

Important notes and usage information

The Nowcast figures in the 2019 edition of this dataset are based on a new method, as the previous method could not be used due to the pandemic halting collection of source data. This method aims to provide users with 2020 data that is comparable with previous years, although it should be noted that due to lower data content the 2020 nowcast data will likely be subject to greater revision than usual and should be used with caution. More details can be found in the notes page of the dataset.
