We have identified an error in the published index values for the ESMI index (PPI INDEX IMPORT NEU - C2441 Precious metals 2015=100), covering the period January to June 2026. This is the result of an error in the system used to transfer our internal calculated values to the website time series system.
The correct values are in the following list and we expect the corrected data to be included in our upcoming publication on 16 September 2026. The error only affects the upload of index values to the website for publication. It does not affect the internal calculations used to produce the statistics presented in the bulletin.
No other indices are affected, and the bulletin Producer price inflation, UK: July 2026 and dataset Producer price inflation statistics are also unaffected.
