ONS identified that the index values and growth rates for the Business Services and Finance sector within the Index of Services publication were incorrect. These have now been amended. This correction affects the IoS components to four decimal places, Index of Services industry sections and components and time series datasets along with the statistical bulletin.
The error did not impact any top-level data, so there is no impact on either GDP or Index of Services.
ONS apologises for any inconvenience this may have caused.

We have corrected an error in the Index of Services time series dataset due to a processing error. The previous version was incorrect because it had incorrect Gross Value Added Weights (GVA). These were not updated to be consistent with the Blue Book 2025 GVA weights. All calculations which require GVA weights aware not impacted as latest weights have been used in these calculations. Therefore no estimates are impacted.
