Today we have published the latest edition of our overseas travel and tourism estimates. In this edition a minor correction has been made to previously published data, for July and September 2022. As a result of a processing error, the estimate for these months for overseas residents for Europe was over estimated by 1,000 visits. This has now been corrected.
Only data relating to visits in 2022 is affected, data on spending has not changed. We will update any other previous editions of this spreadsheet by the end of July 2024. Meanwhile for 2022 data we would recommend using the latest edition published.

We have corrected all regions total spending estimates in table 10 of the overseas travel and tourism quarterly dataset, published today.

We have made a correction to the total visits to the UK by people from “Other countries” in Quarter 3 (July to September) 2022 in table 12. The data was written as 17,060,000 when it should have been 1,706,000.
