Deaths from COVID-19 only of those under the age of 65 in England and Wales separately:

We have been producing Pre-existing conditions of people whose death was recorded with an underlying cause of COVID-19, deaths registered in 2020, this dataset can be found in section 7 of the Monthly mortality analysis bulletin. This dataset provides a greater insight into the leading underlying causes of death groups for deaths occurring in England and Wales in 2020 and will be updated quarterly.

Please see 'table 1a, row 28' for quarterly deaths where COVID-19 was listed as the underlying cause, but had no other pre-existing conditions recorded on the death certificate. COVID-19 deaths involving pre-existing conditions are split by broad age groups between 1-64 and 65+ and split between England and Wales.

As this data is reasonably accessible via an alternative source, providing this information in full in answer to your request is not required under Section 21 of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (FOIA).

Deaths from COVID-19 under 50 with no pre-existing conditions, and disaggregation of COVID-19 deaths by age for England and Wales separately:

In order to provide data showing COVID-19 deaths for England and Wales separately by age group, and the number of deaths from COVID-19 alone where the deceased had no pre-existing conditions under the age of 50, we would need to create bespoke analysis. Under the Freedom of Information Act 2000, Public Authorities are not obligated to create information in order to respond to requests. We therefore consider this to be information not held. Bespoke services will be available for 2020 data once the data have been finalised in the summer of 2021.

Under Section 16 of the Freedom of Information Act 2000, we have provided the following advice and assistance, which includes data that relates to your request:
