Please supply statistics for total deaths for the year 2020.

We hold the following analysis Deaths registered in England and Wales - Office for National Statistics (ons.gov.uk), which was published in July 2021 to allow the inclusion of late registrations which are deaths which have been referred to Coroner for investigation.
In 2020, there were 607,922 deaths registered in England and Wales; an increase of 14.5% compared with 2019 (530,841 deaths).
