I have been looking for statistics about the incidence of induction of labour, grouped per indication - i.e. how many inductions were done for reduced fetal movements, prolonged pregnancy, pre-eclampsia, gestational diabetes etc.

Our birth statistics are derived from information recorded when live births and stillbirths are registered as part of civil registration, a legal requirement; these data represent the most complete data source available.
Unfortunately, we do not collect information on induction of labour as this is not recorded as part of the registration process above. You may be able to obtain this information from NHS Digital, they can be contacted via email at enquiries@nhsdigital.nhs.uk.
