Changes to London postcodes since 2000

I am writing to inquire whether there were any changes in the postcodes in the London area since 2000. May I get the list of changed postcodes and their change time if this is the case?

We can confirm that there have been changes to postcodes in the London region since 2000.

Since 2000, in the London region, 90,175 new postcodes have been created and 93,885 have been discontinued. For postcodes discontinued, these may either result from addresses becoming demolished, or through Royal Mail reorganisation resulting in postcode changes.

Listings of both these new postcodes with introduction month and year (column dointr - yyyymm) and the discontinued postcodes with termination month and year (column doterm - yyyymm) are available in the associated downloads. An observation with these listings is that there were 857 postcodes which have the same month and year for both introduction and termination.
