We said
The 2022 data for 21st Century Mortality will be published as part of our Deaths Registered in England and Wales output in July/August this year. You can check the exact date when it has been confirmed in our release calendar here.
This output will use the International Classification of Diseases, Tenth Revision (ICD-10). ONS will move to reporting cause of death using ICD-11 in the future but the date is yet to be confirmed.
Information on both the ICD-10 and ICD-11 classifications can be found on the World Health Organization website.
