I would like to request the following information for the period of the last 20 years: The average time in days of the government's responses to Freedom of Information Requests. The longest and shortest time it has taken to respond to Freedom of Information requests. The number of Freedom of Information Requests that have been responded to by the Government that state that they do not hold or keep the requested information.

We, the Office for National Statistics (ONS), do not hold the information that you have requested, as we are not the government policy lead for Freedom of Information (FOI). This role is undertaken by the Cabinet Office (CO).
CO collate official FOI statistics, which are published on their website. The following link provides this information from 2010 to 2022: Government FOI Statistics. This publication is updated every quarter.
