We said

Thank you for your Freedom of Information request regarding the number of single parent households affected by food poverty since the pandemic, compared to households with children and more than one adult.

At the Office for National Statistics, we do not produce data on food poverty.

However, it is possible that the Department for Work and Pensions, which collects data on food security in its Family Resources Survey, may be able to answer your question. You can contact the Department for Work and Pensions via email at freedom-of-information-request@dwp.gov.uk.

Should it be of interest to you, our Families and households dataset provides estimates of families and children in the UK by family type including married couples, cohabiting couples and lone parents, as well as estimates of household size and people living alone. The most recent edition of this dataset provides these data from 1996 to 2020.
