Mortality statistics for December 2020-October 2021 where Covid-19 was sole cause of death

I am requesting the total deaths with no underlying health issues or pre-existing conditions where COVID-19, only, was stated on death certificate from December 2020 to present date for all age groups.

We have been producing the following analysis, which provides a greater insight into the leading pre-existing cause of death groups, for deaths occurring in England and Wales, in 2020 and the first two quarters of 2021 that were due to COVID-19: Pre-existing conditions of people whose death was recorded with an underlying cause of COVID-19. This dataset can be found in section 8 of the Monthly mortality analysis bulletin.

Please note, this analysis provides information regarding deaths where COVID-19 was the underlying cause of death and there were no pre-exisiting conditions. Where we have stated that COVID-19 was the underlying cause, this means COVID-19 was the main condition in the causal chain of events leading to death. Therefore, this analysis includes, but does not report solely on, deaths where COVID-19 was the only cause of death mentioned on the death certificate.  Unfortunately, we do not hold analysis showing deaths from COVID-19 where this condition is the only one mentioned on the death certificate. This analysis would therefore need to be created as a bespoke output. Such services would be subject to legal frameworks, disclosure controls, resources and agreement of costs.
