Can I please ask if its possible to tell me the % number of women in finance director positions vs men in the UK?
Is it also possible to get this in some sectors, i.e. Charity, Health, Publishing?

Thank you for your query regarding Finance Directors in the UK.
We estimate the number of people by sex and occupation from the Annual Population Survey, a survey based on interviews with members of private households in the UK.
Occupations are defined in line with the Standard Occupation Classification 2010 (SOC 2010). Based on this classification Finance Directors best aligns with classification 1131 -- Financial managers and directors.
The latest estimates for the twelve-month period January to December 2021, published on our Nomis website (www.nomisweb.co.uk), show that there were an estimated 123,600 financial managers and directors who were women and 154,500 who were men. There is a full breakdown of occupation by sex available.
We do not routinely produce this breakdown by specific industry, although it is possible to request an analysis to be produced on this basis by contacting our social surveys team. Charges can be made for this service depending on the amount of time taken to develop the analyses and undertake quality and disclosure control processes.
