Business transfer agents are classified within section M (Professional, Scientific and Technical Activities), under subclass 74.90/9 (Other professional, scientific and technical activities (not including environmental consultancy or quantity surveying) n.e.c.) which includes activities such as business brokerage.
Classification within UK SIC is based wholly on economic activity and, as such, it does not stipulate what requirements or academic qualifications may be necessary to start-up a business.
