PHE have only updated alcohol-specific mortality statistics for Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly (combined) for 2017-2019 on the LAPE. I have looked at your provisional quarterly data for alcohol-specific mortality for Jan-Dec 2020 and some of this data distilled down to upper tier local authority level would be really useful for us, especially as our deadline for the needs assessment is December and the impact of COVID on drinking patterns means more recent data is needed. Therefore would it be possible to request the following for Cornwall (E06000052) and the Isles of Scilly (E06000053) combined:
Annual alcohol specific age-standardised deaths (count and rates per 100,000 people) by sex for 2018, 2019 and 2020 (provisional)
Quarterly alcohol specific age-standardised deaths (count and rates per 100,000 people) for 2018, 2019 and 2020 (provisional)
Annual alcohol-specific age-specific deaths (count and rates per 100,000 people of a particular age group) for 2018, 2019 and 2020 (provisional)
Quarterly number of alcohol specific deaths by individual cause of death for alcoholic liver disease (K70) only for 2018, 2019 and 2020 (provisional)

Unfortunately, we would be unable to provide you with alcohol specific deaths by your requested geography for 2018-2020. To fulfil this request, we would need to create a bespoke analysis or table. Under the Freedom of Information Act 2000, Public Authorities are not obligated to create information to respond to requests. We therefore consider this to be information not held.
