First recorded COVID-19 death area and date

I would like to know when the first recorded death from Covid was, date & area, if possible.

Also, if you can, please could you give me the total of deaths from Covid, from the first death to the last one year later, so, for example, if the very first death was on the 5th of February 2020, then I would like to know what number of deaths was by the 5th of February 2021, for example.

Please see the 'COVID-19 - Daily registrations' tab of the weekly deaths dataset 2021 edition.

The first death registration involving COVID-19 was registered on 09/03/2020, in the North West region of England. This can be seen on row 12 of the dataset.

Please see the totals below for the number of deaths involving COVID-19, between 09/03/2020 and 09/03/2021. You can see these figures in column B and C.

  • England and Wales - 134,353
