Thank you for your request.

The COVID-19 Infection Survey is a household survey that estimates the number of people testing positive for infection and for antibodies in the UK. Our statistics refer to the number of current COVID-19 infections within the population living in private residential households. We exclude those in hospitals, care homes and/or other communal establishments. In communal establishments, rates of COVID-19 infection are likely to be different.

Please see our latest vaccination and antibodies article (Coronavirus (COVID-19) Infection Survey, antibody and vaccination data, UK: 23 November 2021) and the accompanying dataset (Coronavirus (COVID-19) Infection Survey, antibody and vaccination data, UK) for modelled vaccination estimates based on the individuals in our sample.

However, please note that the Office for National Statistics are not responsible for official vaccination data and our estimates are based on individuals in the Covid Infection Survey sample. Official vaccination data for the population is held by the UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA, formerly Public Health England) and is available on the gov.uk dashboard. This is not currently presented by vaccine type. The UKHSA may be able to provide you with the data you are looking for. They can be contacted using the following email address; informationrights@ukhsa.gov.uk.

We do not hold analysis on vaccination type, this could be requested via our bespoke services but would only be estimates of vaccinations by vaccine type based on our sample. Such services would be subject to legal frameworks, disclosure controls, resources and agreement of costs.

If you would like to request this bespoke dataset, please contact Infection.Survey.Analysis@ons.gov.uk to discuss your enquiry further. Please note, there may be a charge for this work which would be subject to our charging policy.

Further information and an overview of data about the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic from the Office for National Statistic (ONS) and other sources can be found in our Coronavirus (COVID-19) latest insights tool.
