Essex demographic data from 2021 Census

We are trying to investigate correlation between accidental dwelling fires in Essex and local demographics. As such, could you please provide us with the populations of age, sex, gender, religion, and mobility issues by Lower Super Output Area (LSOA) in Essex for the 2021 census.

Thank you for your freedom of information request regarding demographics for Essex. 

In April we launched ‘Create a custom dataset’ which enables users to find and download multiple combinations of data they are most interested in.

However, not all Census data can be accessed through ‘Create a custom dataset’. Some characteristics have been grouped together to avoid the risk of people being identified (for smaller areas). The security and confidentiality of the information people entrust to us is always at the forefront of our work.

Although the census does not include ‘mobility issues’, the 5 category disability variable includes Disabled under the Equality Act: Day-to-day activities limited a lot and Disabled under the Equality Act: Day-to-day activities limited a little.
