We also publish leading causes of death on a monthly basis as part of our Monthly Mortality Analysis. This provides provisional death registration data for England and Wales, broken down by sex, age and country. This includes deaths due to COVID-19 and leading causes of death. Data is available for July to September 2020.
This publication will be updated with data for October 2020 on 19 November 2020.
Within our Deaths registered weekly in England and Wales, provisional, we record respiratory deaths and COVID-19 deaths alongside all cause mortality.
The following publication, Death registrations not involving coronavirus (COVID-19): England and Wales, also provides provisional counts of the number of total deaths and deaths not involving the coronavirus (COVID-19), between 28 December 2019 and 10 July 2020. This includes deaths disaggregated by age and sex, by region of England, and Wales, and place of death, and for underlying causes of death and deaths involving leading causes.
