I've been trying to search for information on average earnings in a specific sector (tech) broken down by location.
So for instance, I'd like to find out what the average salary of someone working in tech is in say Yorkshire, versus someone working in say, Hampshire.
Do you have this information? And if so how far back do you have it?

Unfortunately, do not hold analysis with that level of detail, however we would have this by region by 2 digit Standard Industry Classification (SIC):
ASHE Table 5:
This information is collected from the employer about the selected individual. ASHE samples approximately 1% of those in the Pay As You Earn Tax Scheme in the UK.
The regions for this table relate to 'Place of Work', ie., where the selected individual usually works.
In order to click onto the table required, open the winzip file - when the winzip opens, note that there are various types of files. Included would be the gender pay gap table plus a) tables containing the data, the median would be considered the statistical average at 50% with the percentile and mean average information and the b) tables containing the CV or quality check, these are supplied for reference only. Note that there are 9 tabs of data after the notes page - All Workers/All Males/All Females/Full Time/Part Time and Gender split by the same.
In order to provide more detailed information, we would need to create bespoke analysis. Under the Freedom of Information Act 2000, Public Authorities are not obligated to create information in order to respond to FOI requests. We therefore consider this to be information not held.
However, we may be able to commission this for you as a bespoke output. Such services would be subject to legal frameworks, disclosure controls, resources and agreement of costs.
