I am trying to find a definitive list of current UK cities (not towns). Wikipedia show such a list but they are not an acceptable source of such information. Do you have such a list?

We do not hold a definitive listing of current cities in the UK, nor is aware of any such listing maintained by government.
ONS has however previously produced a listing of major towns and cities in England and Wales, focussing on the 'core' town or city rather than its surrounding area, using a population size threshold of 75,000. One result of this is that some smaller cities with official city status are excluded.
