Thank you for your email.

We publish figures on the levels and trends of crime in England and Wales primarily based on two sets of crime statistics: the Crime Survey for England and Wales (CSEW) and police recorded crime data.

Unfortunately, police recorded crime data is not available for the questions you have asked. Police recorded crime data are the responsibility of the Home Office and as such may be better placed to help with your enquiry. They can be contacted at the following email address: CrimeandPoliceStats@homeoffice.gov.uk.

Alternatively, a limited amount of information, which may be of use to you, is available from the CSEW, and is published as part of the Sexual Offences in England and Wales overview: year ending March 2020 bulletin, as an article called Nature of sexual assault by rape or penetration, England and Wales: year ending March 2020. This provided survey information the Nature of Sexual Assault by Rape and Penetration, though information collected in relation to the perpetrator does not include whether the perpetrator was transgender, and only limited detail of where the incident took place and does not include public rest rooms. The data tables published alongside this publication provide more detail and can be found here.

The Ministry of Justice do publish quarterly court statistics that focuses on the perpetrators of crime so they may also hold some information which you may find useful, they can be contacted at the following email address: ESD@justice.gov.uk.
