Uou asked

I'm just wanting to request information about EPC ratings of E or below in the South Yorkshire region to start. And every county in England.

We said

Thank you for your request.

We have not conducted analysis to calculate the number or percentage of EPC ratings of E or below for South Yorkshire or other county areas. Published data at a local authority level is available from the Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities or record level data is publicly available to allow users to carry out their own analysis.

As part of our Energy Efficiency of Housing in England and Wales we published the Individual Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) Bands at country and region level (including Yorkshire and the Humber) and Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) Band C or above at local authority level.

The Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities (DLUHC) produce separate statistics on Energy Performance of Buildings Certificates, this includes a dashboard where you can see the number of EPC records at each band over time for local authorities or regions. The associated live tables have the same data already in table format, in particular Table D1: Domestic Energy Performance Certificates for all dwellings by energy efficiency rating. But this does not include county data.

Energy Performance Certificates data is publicly available as part of the Energy Performance of Buildings Register at open data communities, so you could carry out your own detailed analysis (you will need to register to use the site).
