Thank you for your request.

Our COVID-19 Infection Survey (CIS) is a representative household survey, which estimates the number of people testing positive for COVID-19. The survey started in England on 26 April 2020 (and expanded to Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland later in the year). Therefore, we do not hold data before this time.

In the dataset accompanying our most recent bulletin, you can find the estimate of the number of people testing positive for COVID-19 and the estimated average ratio of the population that had COVID-19:

  • In England from 27 April 2020 to 16 January 2021 on tab 1a
  • In Wales from 27 July 2020 to 16 January 2021 on tab 3a
  • In Northern Ireland from 11 September 2020 to 16 January 2021 on tab 4a
  • In Scotland from 03 October 2020 to 16 December 2020 on tab 5a
