Please may you provide me with the number of one punch assaults reported to police in the past 10 years. I would also like to know how many one punch assaults that resulted in death occurred in that time.

Police recorded crime figures for assaults can be found in Appendix Table A4 published alongside our most recent quarterly publication, Crime in England and Wales: year ending September 2020. Data on assaults across the previous 10 years can be found in the Home Office open data tables. These provide quarterly police recorded crime statistics going back to the early 2000's.
There is no way to disaggregate one punch assaults from other assaults, therefore we are unable to provide any data on one punch assaults specifically. This is the case for both one punch assaults and one punch assaults that ended in death.
