We publish data relating to crime statistics from two main sources: The Crime Survey for England and Wales and crime recorded by the police and focus on the victims of crime.

The Ministry of Justice are responsible for the collection and publication of data on prison populations in England and Wales, whilst the Scottish Government and the Northern Ireland executive are responsible for the equivalent information pertaining to their jurisdictions.
