I'd like to make a freedom of information request on all covid 19 vaccine deaths and adverse reactions in the UK including NI since the roll out began.

We said

Thank you for your request.

We are responsible for the provision of mortality statistics for England and Wales. National Records Scotland (NRS) and the Northern Ireland Statistics and Research Agency (NISRA) are responsible for statistics pertaining to Scotland and Northern Ireland. Therefore, we do not hold deaths following COVID-19 vaccinations for the whole of the UK. Please email NRS and NISRA at foi@nrscotland.gov.uk and info@nisra.gov.uk respectively to request this data for Scotland and Northern Ireland.

We also do not hold figures for those who may have been harmed or suffered illness from a COVID-19 vaccination. You may be able to obtain this information from NHS Digital, they can be contacted by email via enquiries@nhsdigital.nhs.uk.

However, you may be interested in the following information. Deaths that have been directly attributed to the vaccine, due to adverse reaction, in England and Wales can be found in table 12 of our Monthly Mortality Analysis. There are currently 0 deaths registered with the aligning ICD codes for this. However, should this change, they will be updated in this table.

If you would like to discuss your query further, please contact health.data@ons.gov.uk.
