1) How many formal leavers interviews have been conducted by the ONS, for each of the most recent four quarters data is available? 

2) What percentage of leavers does this represent for each quarter? 

3) What percentage of leavers does this represent over the full 12 month period?

Thank you for submitting a request under the Freedom of Information Act.  In response:

The ONS invites colleagues who are leaving to complete an electronic exit survey. This is a voluntary, online process, and not a mandatory, in-person approach.   

For the purpose of this FOI request, the response references ONS’ exit survey responses. 

For the 2023 calendar year, 464 exit surveys were submitted: 

112 between January and March 2023 

101 between April and June 2023 

133 between July and September 2023 

118 between October and December 2023 

In terms of the percentage of leavers this represents: 

For the quarter January to March 2023, an Exit Survey was submitted for 29.9% of leavers 

For the quarter April to June 2023, an Exit Survey was submitted for 38.1% of leavers 

For the quarter July to September 2023, an Exit Survey was submitted for 35.8% of leavers 

For the quarter October to December 2023, an Exit Survey was submitted for 45.4% of leavers 

For the 2023 calendar year, an Exit Survey was submitted for 36.5% of leavers.
