Please may you provide me with:
Any information regarding the department's expenditure (incl. total expenditure) on recruitment in the years 2019, 2020, and 2021 in the following areas
- Finance
- Digital and Technology
If you could also confirm the name and contact (email or phone number) of the Finance Director/Head of Finance of your department(s), it would be greatly appreciated.
Please could the information for each year be in either separate Word documents, or separate Excel sheets.

Unfortunately, due to the structure of our recruitment service, we are unable to sperate expenditure by Finance or Digital and Technology Recruitment. We therefore consider this information as not held by the Office for National Statistics (ONS).
We have identified one particular area where costs could be separated out by Finance or Digital and Technology Recruitment -- the online tests we sometimes use to filter out applicants who are not at the required level.
Detailed data on our use of on-line tests is only available from April 2020.
Between April 2020 and December 2020, our records do not show any on-line test expenditure on Finance or Digital and Technology Recruitment.
Between January 2021 and December 2021, we spent the following on on-line tests:
- Finance Recruitment: £234.50
- Digital and Technology Recruitment: £38.50
The name of our Finance Director is published in the UK Statistics Authority Annual Report and Accounts and the ONS website publishes details on how you can communicate with us.
