You asked

Please can you provide the list of the Housing Associations that complained to you about the way the Housing Ombudsman produces its maladministration rates.

Please can you show which Housing Associations complained and what concerns they specifically raised.

We said

Thank you for your request.

We are unable to disclose the name of the Housing Association(s) that complained about the way the Housing Ombudsman produces maladministration rates, as this is personal information. Section 39 of the Statistics and Registration Services Act 2007 (SRSA) prohibits the disclosure of personal information held by the UKSA in relation to the exercise of any of its functions. Personal information is defined as any information that identifies an individual or body corporate, so this includes the name of the Housing Association(s). Consequently, Section 44(1) of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (FOIA) applies.

In addition, the Housing Association(s) name and the concerns raised are withheld under Section 41(1) of FOIA, as this information was provided with the expectation of confidence.
