Please refer to the following previously answered FOI request, which provides the information we hold on the total number of deaths in England, Wales and the UK for 2019, and 2020:

The table provided shows the total number of UK deaths each year from 2000 to 2019. The section at the bottom of the webpage beneath the heading '2020' provides the provisional total of all deaths registered in 2020 in England and Wales.
