I wondered if you kept any statistics on how many workplace charities there are left in England and Wales?

Thank you for your Freedom of Information request enquiring the number of workplace charities in England and Wales.
For information, ONS produce an annual publication called UK Business: Activity, size and location. This publication breaks down the number of UK Businesses (registered for VAT and/or PAYE) by geography, employment size-band, industry and legal status. It is created using an extract of the Inter-Departmental Business Register (IDBR) taken on 10th March 2023.
Our UK business publication will identify charities registered for VAT and/or PAYE, however it will not identify individual workplace charities. The Charity Commission for England and Wales might be able to help further.
