You asked

Could you please provide the number of vaccine fatalities and injuries that have been reported in a time series, dating back to 1900.

We said

Thank you for your enquiry.

Using the NOMIS webservice, I can provide you with deaths due to Vaccines (ICD-10 code Y58 to Y59) for 2013-2019 for England and Wales:

Earlier data can be found in our 20th Century Mortality publication on the National Archives, which has an ICD-10/ICD-9 look up on the front page. The codes you would need to search are those listed in the previous table: Y58, Y58.0, Y58.1, Y58.2, and Y59. Data are available within this dataset from 1901 to 2000. 21st Century Mortality is available from 2001 to 2019.

Should you wish to obtain further analysis, we may be able to create a custom output. Information on deaths by specific ICD-10 code along with other special extracts and tabulations of mortality data for England and Wales are available to order (subject to legal frameworks, disclosure control, resources and agreements of costs, where appropriate). Such enquiries would fall outside of the Freedom of Information regime and should be made to: Health.Data@ons.gov.uk.

You can find the number of deaths involving COVID-19 (not restricted to first or second vaccination) in table 12 of our Monthly Mortality Analysis dataset, these include figures for deaths involving adverse reactions to the COVID-19 vaccination. There are currently 2 deaths registered with the aligning ICD codes for this. However, should this change, they will be updated in this table. This publication is due to be updated in June 2021.

We do not hold information regarding vaccine injury. The Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) may be better placed to assist with this query.
