Thank you for your request.

The COVID-19 Infection Survey is a household survey that estimates the number of people testing positive for infection and for antibodies in the UK. Our statistics refer to individuals in the community, by which we mean private households. These figures exclude infections reported in hospitals, care homes or other institutional settings.

Participants in the COVID-19 Infection Survey are visited on a monthly basis, so we do not have daily infection or vaccination data.

Regarding questions 1 and 2, you can find the confirmed daily number of vaccinations by first and second dose on the Government coronavirus (COVID-19) dashboard. Your query on daily vaccinations by vaccine type may be better placed with the UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA). They can be contacted via email at enquiries@ukhsa.gov.uk or via FOI email at InformationRights@UKHSA.gov.uk.

You may be interested in our analysis on the modelled percentage of the adult population vaccinated by first and second dose on tab 1e, tab 2d, tab 3d, and tab 4d in England, Wales, Northern Ireland and Scotland respectively in the dataset accompanying our antibody and vaccination bulletin. Modelled vaccine estimates are produced to provide context alongside our antibodies estimates and do not replace the official government figures on vaccinations, which are a more precise count of total vaccines issued. While we would expect the overall trend of our estimated number of people who have received vaccines to increase, it is possible that in some weeks, the estimate may remain the same or decrease as a result of sampling variability (for example, we may have a lower number of participants recording a vaccination in the latest week compared with an earlier week).

Regarding question 3, the daily number of confirmed cases of COVID-19 are included in the Government coronavirus (COVID-19) dashboard. You may be interested in our technical article on positivity following vaccination. You can find the number of coronavirus (COVID-19) infections after first dose and second dose of vaccination on tab 1a in the accompanying dataset. You may also be interested in our technical article on the impact of vaccination on testing positive. You can find the relative risk of testing positive by vaccine exposure, vaccine type, and symptoms reported in the accompanying dataset.

Regarding question 4, we hold data on hospitalisations involving COVID-19 and vaccination, however to provide the requested analysis, we would need to create a complex linked bespoke dataset. Under the Freedom of Information Act 2000, Public Authorities are not obligated to create information to respond to requests. We therefore consider this to be information not held.

UK Health Security Agency publish a weekly surveillance report which looks at the impact on hospitalisations, infection, vaccine effectiveness and mortality. They can be contacted via email at enquiries@ukhsa.gov.uk or via FOI email at InformationRights@UKHSA.gov.uk.

For deaths involving COVID-19 or all cause deaths after receipt of the COVID-19 vaccination, we hold the following analysis Deaths involving COVID-19 by vaccination status, England: deaths occurring between 2 January and 2 July 2021 which is an analysis of deaths involving COVID-19 by vaccination status that occurred between 1 January and 2 July 2021 in England.

This publication includes weekly age standardised mortality rates for deaths involving COVID-19 by vaccination status and a detailed analysis of deaths involving COVID-19 which occurred in fully vaccinated individuals.

This is the latest analysis we hold; whilst we now hold mortality data up to October 2021, we have not yet completed analysis on this. We are planning a future publication which has a provisional release date of 1 November 2021. The final publication date will be announced on our Release Calendar.
