We said

Thank you for your request.

Unfortunately, we would be unable to provide you with this information. Whilst we hold information on deaths and receive data on vaccinations from the National Immunisation Management System (NIMS), infections from NHS Test and Trace and hospitalisations from the Hospital Episode Statistics published by NHS Digital, we do not hold any analysis on this data other than that in the publications on our website.

In order to fulfil this request, we would need use a high level of statistical skill and judgement including complex data linkage and analysis of the mortality, vaccinations, hospital episode statistics and test and trace data to the 2011 Census and GP register in order to create a bespoke analysis or table. Under the Freedom of Information Act 2000, Public Authorities are not obligated to create information in order to respond to requests. We therefore consider this to be information not held.

In addition, our data on hospitalisation from the Hospital Episode Statistics published by NHS Digital has approximately 3 months delay, therefore we do not publish up to date analysis of hospitalisations. NHS Digital would be better placed to answer queries relating to hospitalisations.

While we do not publish exactly the information you request, we publish the following related analyses that may be of interest:

Our publication Coronavirus (COVID-19) Infection Survey Technical Article: Impact of vaccination on testing positive in the UK: October 2021 includes estimates of the risk of testing positive by vaccine status, including people who had received two doses. This publication also includes estimates of the risk of testing positive for people who were not vaccinated but were previously COVID-19 positive. We do not publish data on hospitalisations or deaths for people who were not vaccinated but had a previous COVID-19 infection.

Our publication Deaths involving COVID-19 by vaccination status, England includes age-standardised mortality rates by vaccination status for people in the Public Health Data Asset, which covers approximately 79% of the population, including for people who had had two vaccines.

The UK Health Security Agency also publish data on cases, hospitalisations and deaths by vaccination status in their COVID-19 vaccine surveillance reports including for people who had two vaccines.
