Can you advise why the death data for 2020 is still provisional & when it will become fixed?
Also when the death data for 2021 will be released?

Thank you for your request.
On 6 July 2021, we published Deaths Registered Series for 2020 which shows registered deaths in England and Wales and is not provisional data.
This contains the total number of deaths in England and Wales in 2020, including late registrations.
However, the Deaths Registered Weekly in England and Wales and other monthly publications remain provisional as we do not retrospectively amend these publications as late registrations are received.
Deaths Registered in England and Wales: 2021 will be published July 2022, the confirmed publication date will be available on our Release Calendar in due course.
