Please see the following publications, which provide the most recent available analysis on COVID-19 deaths by ethnicity:
COVID-19 deaths at MSOA level data are available within the following publication: Monthly mortality analysis, England and Wales. However, this data is not broken down by ethnicity.
COVID-19 deaths by pre-existing conditions is available within our Deaths involving COVID-19, England and Wales. Data is available for March to June 2020. Please note, this publication has now been paused.
In order to provide data with the particular variables you have requested, we would need to create bespoke analysis. Under the Freedom of Information Act 2000, Public Authorities are not obligated to create information in order to respond to requests. We therefore consider this to be information not held. Furthermore, if we were to disaggregate data by MSOA and include comorbidities for a specific cause of death by ethnicity, such as COVID-19, this would produce small figures which could prove to be disclosive. Therefore, we would be unable to publish the data you have requested, as this would be considered personal information.
