  • Exact figures of those who have died from Covid-19 with no other reason than Covid-19 alone in Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales

  • Exact figures of people who have died and have been vaccinated compared to those who are not vaccinated and covid the only reason for death in Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales

  • Exact percentage of the chances of someone dying from Covid-19 after not taking vaccine

We are responsible for the production of mortality data for England and Wales, this is driven by information collected from the death certificate at death registration. National Records Scotland (NRS) and Northern Ireland Statistics and Research Agency (NISRA) are responsible for statistics pertaining to Scotland and Northern Ireland. Deaths registered due to or involving COVID-19 in Wales with no pre-existing conditions

We publish the following analysis Pre-existing conditions of people who died due to COVID-19, England and Wales as part of our Monthly Mortality Analysis.

Table 4 of each publication shows deaths with no pre-existing conditions for England and Wales, England, and Wales separately.

  1. Based on non-neonatal deaths due to COVID-19; see the Definitions tab for information on our definition of COVID-19 and method for determining pre-existing conditions.
  2. Figures for England and Wales as a whole include deaths of non-residents, other breakdowns exclude non-residents. Boundaries are based on the most up-to-date information available at time of publication.
  3. Figures are for deaths registered in each quarter. There is a delay between a death occurring and it being registered; for more information see our impact of registration delays bulletin.

The data we receive to produce our Deaths by vaccination status publication is for England only, as vaccinations data for Wales is not yet available to be linked to our mortality dataset. Therefore, we do not hold this information.
