You asked

Please can you list the most common causes of death for electricians in the UK broken down into year (working from present backwards) and age group (16-18, 19-30, 31-40, 41-50, 51-60, 61+). If possible, and within the budget allowed, can you also note the region.

We are responsible for the production of mortality data for England and Wales, this is driven by information collected from the death certificate at death registration. National Records Scotland (NRS) and Northern Ireland Statistics and Research Agency (NISRA) are responsible for statistics pertaining to Scotland and Northern Ireland. Therefore, we do not hold the requested information for the whole of the UK. Should you wish to obtain this information for Scotland and Northern Ireland, NRS and NISRA can be contacted at foi@nrscotland.gov.uk and info@nisra.gov.uk respectively. 

ONS mortality data is taken from information collected at the point of death registration. As part of the death registration process occupation is reported on the death certificate by the informant. Occupations are defined using the Standard Occupation Classification (SOC 2010). Definitions of all groups and individual occupations can be found in SOC2010 Volume1 Structure of unit groups. 

The occupational codes used are:
