From this publication we can report the following totals for 2019:
England and Wales: 530,841
England: 496,370
Wales: 33,183
The following publication provides provisional mortality data for 2020 by week: Deaths registered weekly in England and Wales, provisional.
Using the data recorded up to the w/e 1 January 2021 (week 53 of 2020), we can report the following:
England and Wales: 614,114
England: 576,624
Wales: 37,790
