Data for 2018 and 2019 is available for England and Wales via the following publications: Deaths Registered series
In 2018, there were 541,589 deaths registered in England and Wales.
In 2019, there were 530,841 deaths registered in England and Wales.
2020:
According to the following publication, Deaths registered weekly in England and Wales, provisional, for 27 November (week 48), there were 554,919 deaths registered.
At the time of this FOI publication, for w/e 25 December (week 52), there were 604,045 deaths registered in England and Wales in 2020.
