Population in Mansfield district Council and Nottingham County Council

Can you supply the change in the population i.e. by nationality/religion in the area of Mansfield district council and Nottingham County Council over the last 5 years please.

We said

Thank you for your Freedom of Information request. 

Our data for Nationality are taken from the Annual Population Survey (APS) which samples approximately 40,000 households. For many nationalities there are so few, if any, contacts at the local authority level that we are unable to provide meaningful estimates for Mansfield and Nottinghamshire. This is the data we have published on the Country of birth and Nationality from the APS. 

Please see data from the 2011 and 2021 Censuses which gives you a decennial comparison. 

Regarding data on religion the best source for local authority and county level religion data remains the census.   

Please see the religion data produced from the 2011 and 2021 which give a decennial comparison. 

As nationality can be perceived in several different ways, we have included data for Passports Held, National Identity and Country of Birth, alongside the religion data you have requested.
