Thank you for your request.

Full genome sequencing is required in order to identify the exact variant of a COVID-19 case. Therefore, we do not hold this information.

However, we publish positivity rates by Cycle threshold in our weekly bulletin, including cases where the gene combination is compatible with the new variant.

We have previously published the number of cases in our sample by age and Ct pattern here. We have not produced this analysis by sex.

Public Health England (PHE) are responsible for hospitalisations data and would therefore be better placed to answer this part of your request. They can be contacted via email at wn_coronavirus@phe.gov.uk.
