Under the FOI please advise me of the cost of sending out census completion reminders to the public.

The contract to provide all printed communications to the general public (excluding questionnaires) was awarded following a competition using the Crown Commercial Services Managed Print and Digital Solutions Framework. The contract has a forecast maximum value of £25m.
Printed communications (excluding questionnaires includes all postcards, Initial Contact letters, all Reminder Letters, and all Supplementary materials such as information leaflets, large print, Braille and translation booklets. All communications were available in a number of languages.
Reminders were only sent to addresses that we did not have a return from. We recognise that receipting returns took a little longer than anticipated, and this did result in sending reminders to some people who had completed. In spite of this, we sent significantly fewer reminder letters than we had planned for.
