Thank you for your enquiry.

We hold analysis showing the numbers of deaths involving COVID-19 for 1 January 2021 to 30March 2021 in our latest provisional monthly deaths publication. Data for April 2021 onwards are available in the accompanying Deaths involving COVID-19 by month of registration, UK dataset.

Weekly COVID-19 mortality figures for standard five-year age groups (Under 1; 1-4; 5-9; 10-14; 15-19 and so on) are also available in our provisional weekly deaths publication. Weekly deaths run from a Saturday to a Friday.

Unfortunately, we do not hold analysis for the exact dates and age range you have requested. Furthermore, in order to provide this, we would need to create analysis showing figures specifically for under 18s because of the potential disclosure risk. For example, if we were to provide data for under 18s, then it would expose numbers of deaths of 18-year olds when compared to our standard five-year age categories. We use five-year age bands to protect the confidentially of data, particularly where there are small numbers of deaths. This is in line with our disclosure control policy.

Unfortunately, we do not hold information on hospitalisations. Public Health England (PHE) may be better placed to assist with your request. Please visit Public Health England's COVID-19 dashboard for more information.
