I wish to make an FOI request regarding the 'all causes mortality' figures. If you could please tell me what they are for the last 36 months including this month of May 2022?

We hold the following analysis
For 2019 and 2020 data, please use our Deaths Registered in England and Wales 2020 series.
In 2019, there were 530,841 all cause deaths in England and Wales. In 2020, there were 607,922 all cause deaths in England and Wales.
2021 and 2022 data are still provisional and likely to change, this is to allow the inclusion of late registrations, which are deaths which have been referred for Coroner investigation.
Provisional figures are recorded weekly in our Deaths registered weekly in England and Wales, provisional or monthly as part of our Monthly mortality analysis, England and Wales. Monthly data for May will be published on 22 June 2022.
Non provisional data for 2021 will be published on 1 July as part of the Deaths Registered series.
