I am writing to request some information on the number of Nigerian restaurant businesses, particularly restaurants as opposed to cafes, across the UK from the 1980s to date, 2024.

Thank you for your Freedom of Information request asking for information on the number of Nigerian restaurants in the UK from the 1980s until now.
For information, we produce an annual publication called UK Business: Activity, size and location. This publication breaks down the number of UK Businesses (registered for VAT and/or PAYE) by geography, employment size-band, industry and legal status.
The IDBR does not contain information on the ethnicity of business owners, so, unfortunately, we do not hold the requested information.
